BS'D

Shalom from Crown Heights! Just thought I'd post something for those of you on here who might remember who I am. On June 4 of this year, I got married to a Machon Chana girl from France/Sweden. We've been married for 2.5 months now, and we live in Crown Heights.

All the best....

Vision & Impact

Our vision is of a modern vibrant center that provides educational, social, and recreational programming for students and faculty, and to convey a compelling, rich and meaningful Judaism that will inspire all who come in contact with it.
With the vision to open the door of Judaism to all Jewish students on the OSU campus, the Chabad House is a place where Jews of all backgrounds and degrees of observance can enjoy exploring their Jewish heritage in a warm, welcoming and non-judgmental environment. As an active student organization, Chabad is committed to being available for all.

Philosophy

It is our core belief that every individual has an indispensable contribution to make to the totality of the world. Predicated on the Mitzvah of "Ahavat Yisrael - love of a fellow Jew," Chabad seeks to engage each person at his or her own pace and comfort level through innovative educational programs in all areas of Jewish life.

Programs

Among our many programs, we host weekly Shabbat dinners that provide Jewish students a lively, social setting to eat, meet new friends from every niche of the OSU campus, and celebrate Shabbat in a spiritual and stimulating manner. Creative Holiday programs on the OSU campus raise Jewish consciousness and pride throughout the community. Lectures and classes on Jewish law, philosophy, and ethics, teach the relevance and share the beauty and depth of our heritage to our leadership community. Our Israel program, social action projects and social events all foster leadership skills in the students. We continue to meet with students individually around the clock.

Inspiration

Inspired by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of blessed memory. For a glimpse into the Rebbe, click on www.therebbe.org

Leadership

Each of us can serve as a leader. And one leader creates another and another, ad infinitum, just as one candle's flame can light another and another, until the once-impenetrable darkness has turned to brilliant light.
